Terrible & Grim RPG Zines That Fit In Your Pocket!

Micro Borg is a series of mini-sized role-playing game zines that FIT IN YOUR POCKET!

Based on and inspired by MÖRK BORG by Pelle Nilsson and Johan Nohr every one of these zines is its own stand-alone game with its own world to play (and die) in.

Printed on a single sheet of paper, these zines fold up into a little booklet of approximately 3x4 inches, perfect for gaming on the go. Easy to make sure every player at your table has a copy of the "full rules". All you need to play is the zine, some pencils and scratch paper for recording character abilities, and a set of polyhedral game dice: D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, & D20.

How It Works

In Micro Borg, your character has 4 Abilities that dictate everything you are capable of doing.

For each Ability, Roll 3D6. Add up the dice results. This is your ability score for that ability. Use the chart below to determine the ability modifier.

During game-play, these modifiers are your most important element of your skeleton sheet. They are used for every Test in the game as follows:

Building Your Zine

The zine, when downloaded will be a single sheet. When printed, it will be only printed on one side of the sheet. So, how do you turn this piece of paper into the pocket zine? Check out this video from San Mateo County Libraries to find out!
