Hello Gamers!

Today I have a preview of the world map in which Skeliborg takes place! Cryce!!! I am a huge fan of old sword and sandal stories, movies, and tv shows (with Xena: Warrior Princess being the very top of the list). For those of you who don't know, the Sword and Sandal genre is a subgenre of sword and sorcery where the heroes, world, and setting are either set in the Ancient World (Greece, Rome, Eqypt, etc.) or heavily inspired by the Ancient World. When I began work on Skeliborg, I knew I wanted it to have that "ancient world" fantasy vibe. Think Jason and the Argonauts with its skeleton battles (only YOU are one of those skeletons). 

So, Cryce is heavily inspired by the Ancient World and sword and sandal stories set there.

Also, building  the basics of the world allows for potential future games set in the world. SKELIBORG could possibly be only the FIRST game and story told in this world.

While a zine style publication doesn't allow room for a lot of room for world building or setting pieces, I do hope it offers a general inspiration for players and captures the spirit of the game. 

And hopefully, if other "Mork Borg" style zines are released from Micro RPG, Cryce and its lore can slowly grow.
